15 posts · Joined 2020. #21 · Jun 1, 2020. So, the Honda Dealership where I purchased the new 2019 Africa Twin contacts me this morning. I explained the issues I was having with my motorcycle. He informed me to take it to the local Honda Dealership because Honda stands behind their products. I sent him pictures explaining I believe they Allied to a direct-injected version of the parallel-twin, 1,084cc Unicam engine used in the existing CRF1100L, the result should be an adventure bike with far more than the 101 hp the current Honda did an excellent job with mass centralization. The AT feels considerably lighter than it actually is. It picks up off the side stand easier than the Tiger does, and low-speed handling is excellent (aside from some throttle snatchiness at low revs). The turning radius is amazingly tight.

It's so easy to use and stone cold reliable. 70mpg (uk) is possible. However the AT is miles better than the 1000 if you are going to do anything other than a gravel path. The AT looks better too. It's also narrower than the Vstrom and general easier to move around. AT is better at filtering due to the width.
